Call Break is a strategic multiplayer card game designed for four players, utilizing a standard 52-card deck. Gameplay is turn-based, with players alternating as dealers throughout the game. The outcome is determined after a series of five rounds, with the primary objective being to accumulate as many tricks—essentially points—as possible in each round. Following the suit played and deploying the highest card are critical to winning a trick, with spades designated as the trump suit for this particular game. Each round commences with players receiving 13 cards, followed by a bidding phase where they estimate the number of tricks they can secure.

Deal
The initial dealer may be any player; thereafter, the role rotates clockwise around the table. The dealer distributes the cards face down, ensuring that each player receives 13 cards. Players then examine their hands.

Bidding
Bidding begins with the player to the dealer's right and proceeds clockwise, concluding with the dealer. Each player must declare a number ranging from at least 1 to a maximum of 8, representing their commitment to win that many tricks. These declared numbers are referred to as "calls."

How To Play
The player situated to the dealer's right initiates the first trick, with subsequent tricks led by the winner of the previous round. Players may lead with any card; however, all other players must follow suit if able. If a player lacks cards of the led suit, they are required to play a spade if possible, given that it is sufficiently high to win against existing spades in play. In cases where neither condition is met, any card may be played. A trick is claimed by the highest spade present; if no spades are involved, it defaults to the highest card of the led suit.

A player holding cards from the led suit is not compelled to win the trick unless they choose to do so. This rule extends to instances when spades are played; players can opt for higher or lower cards according to strategy.

A player "off" a suit means they have no remaining cards of that suit. Should they be off the led suit without any spades in play, they must play a spade if accessible. If a spade already exists within the trick, they should attempt to play a higher spade if available; otherwise, they may opt to waste a lower spade or select any other non-suited card.

Scoring
To achieve success in scoring, a player must either match or exceed their initial call by winning tricks. Success results in an addition of points equal to the call to their cumulative score. Conversely, failure incurs a deduction of points corresponding to their call. After all rounds are completed, the player with the highest score is declared the winner. For instance, if a player calls for four tricks but wins only three or fewer, they will incur a four-point loss rather than gain any points.
